Trying to Catch Up

Things have been going pretty much non-stop since the summer.  Doing Godspell and Camp Rock at the same time served as a spring-board into a busy fall.  Godspell was followed by a staged reading of a new musical called Blue Moon: A Musical Love Story by a Canton playwright.

Pretty soon after that, I found myself on an airplane to Idaho to stage manage a Faust for Opera Coeur d'Alene.  We open tomorrow with a fantastic cast.  Singing Margherite is Shana Blake Hill, Jamie Offenbach as Mephistopheles and Vale Rideout as Faust.  The opera is directed by Aaron Nicholson and conducted by Todd Robinson.

Years ago, when I was a stage management intern at the Cincinnati Playhouse, we did Avenue X with Leenya Rideout, who is now in War Horse on Broadway.  Ten years later, I finally get the chance to work with her brother.  Funny how life sometimes sends you full circle.

More soon!
